Mary Ann was born in Washington, D.C. She graduated from American University, and taught Physical Education for 5 years in the Montgomery County school system. She moved to Crofton in 1978 and, with her late husband, Bob, raised 2 children, Curt and Courtney. Mary Ann has been an integral part of our practice for 18 years. Her main responsibilities include managing the accounting, billing, and patient recall, scheduling appointments, preparing reports, etc. But no job description can adequately describe all that she does. She is constantly answering patient questions, solving problems, organizing our office processes. Equally important, she creates a warm, friendly experience for all our patients. We can’t believe that there could be any office that is more organized, thanks to her efforts. She is an avid Redskins fan.
Before Frennie joined the practice in 2009, she had been a long time patient of the practice. Originally from the banking industry, Frennie brings her professionalism and expertise to the front desk, scheduling appointments, fielding questions and insurance processing. Thoughtful and caring, she is also an excellent problem solver.
Wil has been an optician at our office since 2002. He is currently the optical manager, so the buck stops with him when it comes to making sure our patients have a great selection of frames from which to choose, and assuring quality control of all aspects of the optical. Nothing pleases us more than to hear someone request Wil to help with their frame selection because they appreciate his help in matching the right frame to the right face. On a personal level, Wil is an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction. If you’re looking for a good book in a particular genre, chances are he can help.
Katelyn is an incredible team player here at Crofton Family Eye Care. She is an optician, an optometric assistant and a vision therapist. She enjoys helping patients select glasses that fit well, adding style and flair. Katelyn enjoys getting to know our patients and working in vision therapy to help others see clearly and comfortably. She and her husband have recently settled in the area with a growing fur family of two cats and one dog.
Tracy is a part of our front desk team. She is responsible for greeting and checking in patients, scheduling and confirming appointments and helping out where needed. We are very excited to have her as part of our team after years of raising her young children. She enjoys a good cup of coffee and spending time with her family.
We are very excited to have Michael as part of our team. He is an optician who has been in the industry for the past fifteen years. He enjoys cooking and is also a professional photographer. A local native, Michael even taught some staff newbies how to properly eat and break open Maryland crabs. Always professional, he has a vast tie collection that could rival anyone else's.
