At Crofton Family Eye Care, we participate in both vision and medical insurance plans. Often, a vision plan is used for a “routine” or “wellness” eye examinations. Some vision plans also include a materials benefit, which provides some coverage towards eye glasses (frames and/or lenses) or contact lenses. We also participate in medical insurance plans for eye examinations and medical visits as it relates to the eye, such as treatment for red eye, chronic eye diseases like glaucoma or macular degeneration, and dilated eye examinations for diabetic patients.
Please call our office at 410-721-2500 to ask if we participate in your vision plan and/or medical insurance plan. When you make an appointment, please have your insurance information available. Remember, Vision and Medical insurance are not one in the same. Alternately, you may consider contacting your human resources department with any questions about benefits prior to giving us your insurance information.
For more information about insurance, insurance claims, billing and accounting, please call our office during business hours.
